Upgrade OJS 3.3.0.14 not working correctly

Hi. I recently upgraded to OJS 3.3.0.14 and now some links are not working in the backend: Issues, Journal, Distribution and Workflow.

Here is my error log:

Please help.

What version of PHP are you using?

I’m using PHP 7.4.33

Hi @Ana,

Are you using a custom theme or the default one?
Do you have this file /templates/manageIssues/issues.tpl?

If the “Administration” interface is working, you might try to reset the cache (not sure if it’s going to help)

Hi,
No I don’t have that file. Where can I get it? Are there more missing files I should search for (like for Distribution, Journal and Workflow)?

@Ana ,

So the problem is that your installation is missing some files.
I just downloaded the OJS 3.3 package from https://pkp.sfu.ca/software/ojs/download/ and this file is there.

So, the only thing I can recommend is to download again and re-upload the files.

Thank you, that solved the issue. However I still have errors with the Workflow section.
When I click on it, the following message appears “the current role does not have access to this operation”.

After clicking on “ok” about 6 times, I get another window.

After clicking ok again, I get another one:

Then the OJS logs me out.

The only error in my log says this:
[27-Apr-2023 17:10:05 UTC] ojs2: 404 Not Found

Hi @Ana,

I’ve seen this error before, see:
Firewall issue:

Admin user missing a role:

There are a couple of posts here that might be helpful:

Let me know if nothing works for you.

Hi,

I thought it worked. I changed to Chrome instead of Firefox and I had no issues within the Workflow section. However, I’m unable to “unpublish” an article.

I don’t know if this has something to do with the issue, but the Journal Manager permissions are all unchecked, and I’m unable to check them.

I solved this by creating another journal manager role and removing the existing one.
