HTTP Error 500
Update:
previous errors fixed! Updated version of OJS and PHP. PHP is installed version 7.3.3. But there were few such errors. How to fix them? Are they critical? SMTP earned, thanks to this forum.20190403_021836

Hi @eiavrn

If you’re referring to the warnings about class declarations, those are cosmetic and do not affect OJS in a negative way. They are getting fixed, especially in OJS 3.1.2.

Cheers,
Jason

Hello @jnugent Thanks for the help. I have now installed version 3.1.2. PHP 7.3.3 + MariaDB 10.3. But there is a mistake.I do not pay attention to this error?

Hey @eiavrn

What’s the mistake?

Cheers,
Jason

The error persists. Does not disappear.

Confirmed. Enabling email validation in 3.1.2 breaks registration.

Fault is here:

Nothing has set the user in $request.

Issue and pull request filed:
https://github.com/pkp/pkp-lib/issues/4649

A similar problem appears when the author finishes submission process; author receives a message that mail notification cannot be sent. In PHP logs: Could not instantiate mail function.

but the mail comes to the letter.

@Vitaliy, can you report that with a stack trace in a new thread or in a GitHub issue?

Preferably in a Git issue if mail otherwise works, in a new thread if no mail works.

Yeah, sure. The error message appears to be the same but actually the problem here is associated with the other class as I saw from your pull request. So, it’s similar but not related.

How can I correct my mistakes? Is that normal ?

While waiting for the release of OJS 3.1.2-1, you can disable the email validation in config.inc.php for the time being (require_validation = Off), or, if you are handy with PHP, you can apply the patch to the code described in this commit:
https://github.com/ulsdevteam/pkp-lib/commit/870ce252ff9aceea9f5b16effb6f8242699a9225

And when will the update be released? I’ll try to fix it. Thank you very much.

There are currently 12 outstanding issues against 3.1.2-1. A release date has not yet be set. You can follow progress here:

The warning “Invalid address: (From) root@localhost” indicates that you may be trying to send email from that unqualified local address. This address may appear in your journal configuration as the bounce address, or you may have nothing set in your journal configuration.

Current best practice would be to uncomment the default_envelope_sender, force_default_envelope_sender, and force_dmarc_compliant_from, setting default_envelope_sender to a noreply address which would be trusted for sending email from your server.

default envelope sender is my address from smtp?

; static (e.g. About, the home page, etc). If the option below is enabled,
; these pages will be cached in local flat files for the number of hours

; overhead for many requests, but should be used with caution because:
; 1) Things like journal metadata changes will not be reflected in cached

; 2) This caching WILL NOT RESPECT DOMAIN-BASED SUBSCRIPTIONS.
; However, for situations like hosting high-volume open access journals, it's

For the default_envelope_sender setting to be effective, you’ll need to set force_default_envelope_sender and force_dmarc_compliant_from to “On”.

@ctgraham everything works, but errors in error log appear.
UPD: now just the not deleted users. In the admin panel, I deleted the user, but writes that the person is registered with this e-mail.
New UPD:

There isn’t a function to delete a user in OJS. You can Disable a user, or remove roles within a Journal from a user, but the user will still exist in the database.
