Hi, we faced with 2 problems in the generated HOW TO CITE for the papers:
In the journal name there is “&” which appears in the citation as Transformations &Amp; Transitions, how could we correct it?
We have included the already registered DOI in the metadata, but it doesn’t appear nor in the “how to cite”, neither in the metadata. How the DOI could be shown in the metadata and citation?
Hello @Ana_N, could you please let us know your version of OJS as well as the version of the Citation Style Language plugin you are using?
There is no special setting to make DOIs display on an article page, so having the DOI plugin enabled should be enough. Could you also show us a screencap of how the DOI has been entered into the metadata?
Hello,
We are using the ojs 3.3.0.6. Regarding the version of Citation Style could not find any information, however we can suppose that it’s the latest version, since we installed OJS one week ago.
The DOI plugin is enabled, and we put the link in the source field.
Thanks & Regards
I have noticed that the citation formats are incorrect but I cannot tell if they were like that all the time or just a 3.3 upgrade issue:
Here is an example of the default reference entry:
Jessica Allman, Mohamad Moussa, Shivam Shah, Madison Rectenwald, Casey Pollard, & Jake Goliver. (2020). Virtual COVID-19 Clinical Teaching Session:: A Substitute for ‘Sheltered in Place’ Medical Students. Translation: The University of Toledo Journal of Medical Sciences, 8, 1–5. https://doi.org/10.46570/utjms.vol8-2020-417
Here is the APA citation:
Jessica Allman, Mohamad Moussa, Shivam Shah, Madison Rectenwald, Casey Pollard, & Jake Goliver. (2020). Virtual COVID-19 Clinical Teaching Session:: A Substitute for ‘Sheltered in Place’ Medical Students. Translation: The University of Toledo Journal of Medical Sciences, 8, 1–5. https://doi.org/10.46570/utjms.vol8-2020-417
APA uses initials and a doi without the https://doi.org prefix.
Then there is Chicago (the style using footnotes, not the author-date format):
Jessica Allman, Mohamad Moussa, Shivam Shah, Madison Rectenwald, Casey Pollard, and Jake Goliver. 2020. “Virtual COVID-19 Clinical Teaching Session:: A Substitute for ‘Sheltered in Place’ Medical Students”. Translation: The University of Toledo Journal of Medical Sciences 8 (November):1-5. https://doi.org/10.46570/utjms.vol8-2020-417.
While the double-colon is an uncaught submission issue (in the metadata), and the year is missing in the Chicago format. Has it always been like that? Thanks! @asabhar
