Plug-in issues resulting in no plug-in list loading

Hi all,

Well, I have been trying my best to not go tooo deep into the nuts and bolts of OJS as I am doing my level best to not mess with things. But then one of the editors asked if we were able to have authors include possible reviewers. So I thought…why not?

Steps I took leading up to the issue

There is a plugin to do this: Suggested reviewers plugin for OJS3

So I downloaded this, and installed it in the plug-in section, without checking that the version was correct. We are running 3.4.0.7 and it needed 3.4.0.9.

So this meant that page hit the 500 error.

A colleague of mine managed to rename the plug-in, so the portal will open again.

However, the “Installed plug-in” section will now not load (see below)

Any help as to sorting this would be awesome! We are not sure if we should just delete the folder the plugin is located in, as we are worried this will cause more damage.

Thank you all!

Hi @Russell_Bicknell,

Are you able to check your PHP error log - that may provide more clues.
Also, since the plugin is the likely culprit, you could try removing the plugin from the files that are installed on your server. That’s not ideal, and ought to be done with caution, and really ought to be done by a systems administrator who knows what they’re doing (and could create backups if things go awry).
