OJS 3.4.0.7: issues with images in the XML format with the eLife Lens Article Viewer

I just recently upgraded to the OJS 3.4.0.7 and now the eLife Lens Article Viewer does not show images anymore. For the old already published articles and for the new articles, published with the current version of the OJS.

I can se/get images from the ‘admin’ interface, but not from the outside/published content. I have investigated the issue a bit and as I understand the cause is different handling of the files. The (image) filenames are changed, while the links in the XML contain filenames before the upload.

Any idea is this issues is being somehow addressed?

Dear,

has anyone found a way how to prepare XMLs to get the images working? I am thinking of manually editing XMLs after upload. But have no idea how the files are handled in the latest versions.
