Author not available in Review Stage For Discussions

Hi there, We are running two different journals both on OJS:

1. annalskemu.org (OJS 3.3.0.17)
2. journalofspark.com ( OJS 3.3.0.13)

The problem is that in the first journal, editors, sections editors and equivalent roles are not able to add authors in the discussions at Review Stage. At times, it becomes necessary to involve author in review-related discussions. Even the author is not visible to administrator in Review Stage. Whereas, in the second journal, author is visible and we can add them into relevent discussions. a screenshot of both journal is attached below for ready reference. Please help me how can we enable the Authors in Review Section in first journal (annalskemu.org).

Hi @Farhan_Abbas,

Have a look at the Participants list on the right-hand side; in the first article, it shows no author. If you assign a user to the participant list as author, they should be available to add to discussions.

(Authors should be added to the participant list by default when they submit a submission. If you’ve followed another route to the workflow – like the QuickSubmit plugin – that might explain the discrepancy.)
