Hi @asmecher @jonasraoni
I am encountering an issue in one journal when sending a fresh submission to the review stage. The author is not appearing at this stage, which is preventing me from sending the “revision required” email or engaging in any discussions with them.
I have reviewed the related post (Author not available in Review Stage For Discussions), but I would like to clarify that this article was submitted through the author login.
Could you please investigate this issue and advise on how to resolve it?
Hi @asmecher @Vitaliy @rcgillis
Please guide me how to solve the above problem. We have many journals but this problem is arising in one journal for a long time, I tried many times to find its solution but could not find any solution.
It seems that the issue you’re encountering may be related to incorrect user roles or permissions. From your explanation, I suspect that the “Author” role may not have the proper permissions for interacting in the review stage or engaging in discussions.
In the screenshot I’ve attached, you can see the recommended permissions for the “Author” role. Specifically, you should ensure that the following permissions are enabled for the “Author” role:
- Submission
- Review
- Copyediting
- Production
Please check if your settings for the “Author” role match what is shown in this image. If the permissions are not configured correctly, adjusting them should resolve the issue, allowing authors to participate in the review stage discussions and receive revision requests.
If the permissions are correct and the issue persists, you may want to check for any potential workflow issues or consult the logs for further debugging.
