Your account has been disabled for the following reason: yes

One of our editors can’t log in using her username and passwords. She gets this message. I, the editor in chief, and journal manager, can log in as her and her assigned reviews show. However, when I open another browser and log in from the log in as her, I get the same message. I searched and can’t find that problem in the help files.

problem solved. When a user has many roles but the editor or journal manager wishes to disable one role, it is tempting to press the disable button on one of those roles. But this disabled the entire account! There must be another way, but for now just wanted to close this out here.

So it is Unenroll you click on not disable to remove an assignment as editor or section editor or whatever.
