Why is Apache recommened over NGINX?

Why is Apache recommended over NGINX? Are there any specific reasons why?

My team is running OJS with NGINX and is considering switching to Apache since it is officially recommended.

I can’t speak for PKP when it comes to recommendations. Now as a member of a team that has maintained hundreds of journals on many OJS installations for years, I recommend not switching to Apache.

nginx is a more modern server and offers everything OJS needs. Alternatively, there are other modern servers such as Caddy Server that also work well with OJS.
