Describe the issue or problem
Our journal uses the “Anonymous reviewer / Disclosed author” peer review model. However, when assigning reviewers, some of the reviewers are listed as “locked” with the explanation:
“This reviewer is locked because they have been assigned a role which allows them to view the author’s identity. Anonymous peer review can not be guaranteed. Would you like to unlock this reviewer anyway?”
These reviewers in general have some sort of role like Journal manager, Editor, Associate editor, etc. However, Since the author’s name is by default disclosed, this shouldn’t be an issue. Does anyone know why this is happening?
If people thing that this is a bug, I can open an issue on github.
