Hello. In the DOI plugin, I set a special input mask that assigns a DOI automatically using the “Assign” button in the article identifier panel. But later it turned out that the journal editors could sometimes make mistakes when registering DOIs, so the input mask that I set may not always have the desired appearance.
I have two solutions to this problem if I come across an article with an incorrectly saved DOI:
- Change the DOI already generated using the existing form in the database (pub-id::doi).
- Disable your own input mask in the DOI plugin in order to enter a DOI for an incorrectly written DOI → assign DOI → turn on my input mask again.
Can you advise what is the best way to proceed in this case? Thank you in advance!
