We activated usage statistics plugin. What we don’t like is that it shows between abstract and references on an article’s page. Is there a way to move statistics to the sidebar to the right? For example, under cover page, or under share buttons (where AddThis plugin appears) or something similar? While statistics is useful, it is very disturbing to have it right under abstract and before references because it can confuse readers. It is better to have it moved to the sidebar with other information about an article.

You can’t move it elsewhere easily. You should implement different plugin or modify the existing one. That means coding efforts.
