Reflections www.rnoph.org uses version 2.3.7. We are happy with the installation and hosting provider, but wonder how important it is to upgrade to later version.

I’m not aware of any security flaws in OJS 2.3.7, but that release is now 3 years old and quite outdated. I’d suggest reviewing the release notes for subsequent releases to see what you’re missing. See the various README files here:
