I have wondered if the upgrade fail for a reason what the effect if only install new version of ojs and import the database and reconnect it to the new ojs system
I know the data base will content upgradeing history and plug in setting of the old one but there must be a way to fix the problem

currently I am updating from 3.3.0-14 to 3.4.0.0 but I facing issue with configuration setting and some plugins and search all the possible ways to solve it but nothing solved also, currently some emails not sending from ojs system to the reviewers or users , the setting of email in config. file “allow_envelope_sender = On” any advice ?

Usually when doing updates to the system leave the confic file and public folder in the hosting and delete all other files then i upload the new version of the system and turn installation off on the config and start updating and the process works fine i do many updates like that but this time i am facing problem with sending mails especially gmails not deliverd to the users and no error logs found so i decided to update the system from 3.3.0-14 to 3.3.0-15
The same process for update then an error messege appear error 500 request not found in the browser but the login page works fine so and i can login to the dashboard, after that upgrade the plugin and every thinks work fine then i go to complete the update to 3.4.0.0 the error messege shows that ORICD plugin not supported i delete the plugin and refresh the page but nothing work and the error logs show there are problem in database connection and i did not figure out the problem i decided to go back to my backup 3.3.0.14 and ask you if there is possible way to install fresh version and a way to transfer all database of the old one to the new version without losing any think.
