The article's PDF file is not saved

I’ve already written about this issue before, but I couldn’t solve it. When I click the PDF link, I’m redirected to https://site/index.php/journal/article/view/4/9
And then I get an error: PDF.js v2.6.347 (build: 3be9c65f)
Message: Missing PDF “https://site/index.php/journal/article/download/4/9/78”.

files_dir set to the folder docs/manual/pt, on this folder: owner, group: khoomey:customers, permissions: 755 (all subfolders have 755).

What can we do? It could be something with permissions or user/group settings (but it worked with those before). Or maybe just updating to the latest version (we did have some minor edits to the article template and other minor issues). I will be glad for any help.
