Can you disable the copyediting section? I would like to simplify my workflow system and the copyediting will be done at the same time as the layout editor makes the PDF files. So I’d like to bypass the copyediting section and the author will then just be able to view and make changes to their article at the final proofreading stage. Is this possible? Does anyone else use a system like this already and does it work? Or are there better ways to simply my workflow system?

The copyedit process itself is optional; you may be able to hide the elements you don’t want simply with CSS. Note that OJS 2.3.8 is quite old, though, and I’d recommend upgrading.
