So here’s how my site looks after I upgrade to 3.1.0.1. Formatting looks off.
I restored my backup, tried to upgrade again and i am getting this error. Please help.

I suspect the upgrade did not finish, which is why your formatting is off. The second message appears to be saying that the upgrade process took longer than the server allows and was aborted. Restore your installation from backup, and either temporarily extend your server’s time limit for scripts so that you can complete the upgrade, or use the command-line upgrade tool instead.
