Strange url combination appeared

Hello,
I just installed OJS in sub-domain “journal” successfully.
but why my url looks like this:
http://journal.xxx.xxx/index.php/Journal
I never see url like this

Hi @khorshid1974

What exactly is strange with the URLs?

Best,
Bozana

Thanks for reply.
I saw most of the sub-domains URL links looks like:

there are no index.php at the end.
moreover, why there are a “Journal” word after index.php?
if it’s normal then it’s ok.

Hi @khorshid1974

Your URLs are fine…
There is a possibility to hide the index.php – you would need to set it up correctly, to write some rewrite rules in your server. You can search this forum to find more information on that…
“Journal” is the path that you as admin have defined in OJS for your journal. You can change it (go as admin in OJS 3 to Administration > Hosted Journals > Edit your journal > change the Path), just that this would mean the change of your URLs (which is not nice e.g. if someone has already cited you journal).

Thanks for reply.
Just another question, I moved my OJS from host to another along with database. I create the connection successfully.
But the download PDF doesn’t work.
kindly could you tell me what the mean of the last tow numbers at the end of the link?
http://journal.epu.edu.iq/index.php/Journal/article/view/164/133

Thanks

In that URL, 164 is the submission or article id; 133 is the galley id. The link does show the PDF for me.
