OJS Provides option to download Reports under “Statistics”. One such report is “Articles Report” which I use. Though there are many field in the report, the field check most of the time is Submission ID , Title, Date submitted, Status.
I find the articles that are “incomplete (unassigned)’ by authors are also shown in the report which is fine. But the status assigned is " Submission”, which shows a confusing status, either it can be ‘incomplete or unassigned’.
Is there a possibility of having customized report in future where user can select the out put fields required.
I am using OJS 3.4.0.1 (more details in the screenshot)
Thank You for a quick reply. But i don’t find any option to “generate custom report”. I am using OJS 3.4.0.1. Can you please suggest the path where i can find custom report option. Is there a Plugin to activate such reports.
There are no plans to add this back, correct? I had a look at the reports in 3.4 and it does seem lacking the details that would’ve been provided through the custom report generator. Can you speak to this and maybe give some insights for this use case?
Regarding Custom Report Generator: It was used only for usage statistics and has considered only published articles. I.e. it would not be useful for what you @Anil are looking for. Also, there are no plans to add it back. I think all (or pretty much all) of the statistics information that were in the Custom Report Generator can now be reported using other statistics reports that exist now, maybe in a slightly different way.
Regarding Article Report: I will double check the status of incomplete submissions in the Article Report, if it can be improved.
Else, there are no plans for a customized Article Report – if the user would need less information or the information differently combined, they could use e.g. Excel or LibreOffice Spreadsheet to get the data they need, how they need it, e.g. to remove columns, to sort it differently, to remove rows,…
I am not sure if this report is widely used by other user. I just wanted to give my experience with the report.
When I explored the content of the “Article Report” using Excel , the status of “incomplete” Articles is shown as “Submission”. I was trying to sort and list out number of articles submitted for particular date range from the extracted file, and there is a mismatch from the Articles actually submitted by authors and to that of the “Article Report” based on Status.
Thank you for updating that, there are no plans to customized article report.
