Rich HTML codes not displaying on abstract-level

OJS 24.8-2 upgraded from OJS 2.3.3.3

On article summary level, you are able to edit the abstract and title. When an html code (example — or &#8212) is inserted in the HTML abstract view, OR in the ‘Title of the article’ the preview doesn’t recognize the calling and is empty. The desired endash is not displaying. Has the html been stripped and it their a way of replacing it in this OJS version? As being discussed here: Annoucements HTML stripped - #11 by jaskoog

When italics are desired this is working.
