Remotely hosted chapters as HTML pages

Dear all,

We want to publish a complex website with html pages that was generated within a content management system, including many subpages and having some DOIs attributed for the subpages. As we have already other monographs by the same publisher in OMP, we thought about transforming the website into a static version and to use OMP to dissiminate metadata and assign DOIs. The chapters would then link to different entry points in the static website.

As I understand it, there is the possibility of linking an external URL under Submission > Publication > Publication Formats > Add Publication Format, but this will add a button to the main monography page. It does not seem to be the case for individual chapters, which are always linked to files that were previously uploaded. We thought about uploading an html file that would redirect to the given url, but we are wondering if it will potentially create any metadata problems?

Linking individual external articles is already possible in OJS and we would be bypassing the review process, as the “monograph” was already published before.

I was able to find a couple of discussions that were looking into similar issues, or harmonizing the behaviour of OMP and OJS, but they seem outdated:

Are there any current developments regarding this?

Current Version: OMP 3.4.0.9

Thanks for any help.
