Reminder frequency for Journal Editors

Describe the issue or problem

Journal Editors are receiving too many reminder notifications. For example, our Editor received reminders on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Expected behaviour

Reminders should be configurable so they can be sent once a week or once every two weeks instead of multiple times per week.

Steps taken leading up to the issue

1. Assign an editor to a submission

2. Allow system reminders to be sent

3. Multiple reminders are sent in the same week

What application are you using?
OJS 3.5.0-1

We have been scouring the web and community forums for assistance but could not find guidance on how to adjust the reminder frequency. Is there a configuration option (either in the UI or config file) to reduce the frequency of these notifications?

Hi @Postt,

This is filed as #11870 and will be fixed with 3.5.0-2. Meanwhile, if you like, you can apply the patch at the issue to correct it locally.
