Re-assign the reviewer

Hi,
We have two reviewer for the article (OJS 2.4.6.0). The first is clicked on “I will do the review”, and the second accidentally clicked “Unable to do the review”. Can I start a new review round for only one reviewer and re-assign the reviewer?

Hi Jože,
There is an issue with the 2.4.x series code that prevents you from reassigning a previously-declined reviewer. I came across it recently.

Issue with reassigning reviewers who have previously declined in OJS 2.4.x

We use OJS 2.4.3 for peer review management and I’ve come across a minor bug that appears to be present throughout the 2.4.x series. The SectionEditorSubmissionDAO::getReviewersForArticle method returns a list of all eligible reviewers for an article, including those who have previously declined a review request for the article. It returns a $reviewers object used by the sectionEditor/selectReviewer.tpl template which contains the code: {if $reviewer->declined} <a class="…

The fix is very simple if you have access to the code (as noted in that post). From Alec’s reply it appears the issue will be fixed in the 2.4.9 release as well.

I have read two days ago this issue, but I could not find the file in which it could repair. Now I find this file and location (line 822) and Reassign is shown.

We have run into the same issue in the OJS 3.3. Has this issue been resolved in OJS 3.3? Is there a more simple solution now that doesn’t require access to the code?
