QuickSubmit Plugin: Author duplicate name

When we use (QuickSubmit Plugin)
and we are about to submit two articles for one author (back issues)
Finally we get : one author with two different names in (Author Index), author duplicate name

How can this problem be solved?

@pmangahis We have this problem either, running OJS 3.3.0.6 (freshly updated from 3.1.2.1).

Is it possible to merge duplicated authors to one?

To confirm, are you seeing duplicate author names in the Article landing page after using the QuickSubmit plugin?

Since all authors seem to be newly added, when importing articles via QuickSubmit, on article landing page everything is fine. But the »Most read articles by the same author(s)« differs, the author index shows muliple authors with (nearly or completely) same name, and the database shows doubletes, tripletes, …

Hej Patricia,

we’ve imported many back issues via QuickSubmit Plugin. After that import, I can see a lot of authors, with more then one entry (= IDs) in the database.

Is there a way to merge author entries into one? (E.g. merge ID 122, 176, 198 into 101.)
