We are using OJS 3.
I just wanted to ask this forum if anyone knows how accurate the views and downloads are for OJS? They do not compare well with Google Analytics and seem very over-inflated. Is this because it measures every single view and click (so does not exclude bots)? We just want to know how accurate it is for reporting?

Google Analytics probably reports low because of the ability for visitors to disable tracking cookies in their browser. The built in OJS stats framework tracks server side and gets around this problem.
The PKP Usage Stats framework does indeed flag things as bots, and also prevents duplicate downloads (clicks on links that are closer than 30 or so seconds apart).
