When uploading a file the text “What kind of file is this?” is not translated to Portuguese, although it is available in the translation file: https://translate.pkp.sfu.ca/translate/pkp-lib/submission/pt_BR/?checksum=eaec646b5ffc798d
In the translation pluggin I looked in the folder “locale/en_US/submission.po” for the name “submission.submit.genre.label” and I couldn’t find it.
Steps I took leading up to the issue
Submissions > send files.

In fact, this translation is still in progress. I would recommend , while it is incomplete, that you use the Default Translation Plugin as workaround:

The Desault translation plugin is installed and the translation of this text is done on the translation website (here). The issue is that the system is not reading the translation of this term and it does not appear listed in the custom translation plugin.
To try to find this text to translate in the custom translation plugin I made this path:
Website > Locales > locale/pt_BR/submission.po > I looked for the field “submission.submit.genre.label”. And he doesn’t exist.
