Publons Plugin: Failed Ajax request or invalid JSON returned

Dear colleagues, please help solve the problem with Publons Plugin.

Installation - activation is successful.
But when we try to press Connection button to start using this plugin, we get an error

Failed Ajax request or invalid JSON returned

We tried to run the module on such versions: 3.1.0.1, 3.1.1.4, 3.1.2.1

Maybe someone has already encountered this problem. Please, help.

PKP doesnā€™t maintain that plugin ā€“ you might try contacting the plugin author, such as by filing an issue here: https://github.com/publons/ojs
