Problems with links in PDF.js viewer

Have any of you had problems opening links in a PDF when using the PDF.js viewer plugin in OJS? We’re testing the plugin in a couple of our journals, and I’m finding links that work correctly, links that load a blank white screen within the viewer (and load fine when the address is copied into the browser’s address bar), and links that show as live when hovered over in the default viewer, but present as regular text when hovered over in the PDF.js viewer. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hi @Ingrid,

Do you have a live URL where I can see this in action? I suspect it’s more to do with either PDF.js or the way you’re generating PDFs than OJS, but I can take a brief look.

@asmecher,

Thank you! I haven’t found anything on the internet about this type of issue in the plugin, and the PDF links seemed ok to me, so I appreciate someone with more experience willing to glance at it. We have the plugin enabled in our staging instance, I’ll send you a pm with more information.

PDF displayed in the browser.
Guys, I have a PDF file with a link “http: //PAg1.mp4”. If I open this pdf in any browser the link changes to lowercase, getting “http: //pag1.mp4”. Does anyone know how to prevent this change? Thank you

Hi @irineusturza,

I’m not sure I’m following completely – where is this link being shown? Is the document online somewhere for me to test?
