Recently, when a journal publishes new articles on our platform and assigns DOIs to them, the DOI links that the Crossref plugin creates use an IP address rather than web domain.
So when you go to an article’s landing page and click on the DOI link, instead of the page just reloading, you get a “Your connection is not private” page, and the URL is “[IP address]/journal/article/view/number” instead of “domainname/journal/article/view/number”.
Previously, I could redeposit the articles/DOIs through the Crossref plugin and it would fix the issue, but now that isn’t working.
