PKP PN Deposit Error in OJS 3.3

Describe the issue or problem
I have installed the PKP plugin on OJS (Open Journal Systems) version 3.3 with PHP 7.3. However, when trying to deposit to the server, I encounter an error message:
"Could not convert selected objects."
I have tried resubmitting multiple times over several days but still haven’t found an effective solution.

Steps I took leading up to the issue

  1. Logged into the OJS dashboard.
  2. Installed the PKP plugin.
  3. Filled in the required information for the deposit.
  4. Clicked submit to process the deposit.
  5. The error message appears: "Could not convert selected objects."

What application are you using?
OJS version 3.3.0-4 with PHP 7.3.

Additional information

  • I have attempted various solutions, including clearing the cache and updating the plugin, but the error persists.

Hi!

Please, get your installation upgraded to the latest OJS 3.3.0 available (currently 3.3.0-19), that might possibly fix the issue you’re having, also, ensure you’re using the latest version of the PN plugin.

Can you help me without upgrading OJS?
I’m worried that upgrading OJS might disrupt other layouts because I have no prior experience or knowledge in upgrading OJS.

Hi!

We’re keeping two versions in parallel, the 3.3.X (stable) and the 3.4.X (breaking changes). If you upgrade your installation to the latest 3.3 (currently 3.3.0-20), it should be ok.
You can download the files here: Download OJS 3.3.0-20 and there are instructions about how to proceed with the installation on our documentation.

You can also share the error log file from your server (I’ll just need the entries from yesterday), then I’ll probably be able to understand what’s happening.
