Subject: PKP PLN – Journal not accepted: Teoria e Critica della Regolazione Sociale (ISSN 1970-5476)
Dear all,
I am writing to ask for your help regarding the PKP Preservation Network (PLN) plugin configured on our OJS instance.
The journal Teoria e Critica della Regolazione Sociale / Theory and Criticism of Social Regulation (ISSN 1970-5476) https://mimesisjournals.com/ojs/index.php/tcrs/index has been set up with the PKP PLN plugin for several days, but the network status still shows:
“The PKP PLN does not know about this journal yet.”
No deposits have been processed so far, and the plugin panel shows an empty deposit list. The OJS scheduler appears to be running correctly—logs confirm that the service document is being retrieved successfully—but the journal does not seem to have been registered or accepted by the PLN.
Could anyone please check whether there might be an issue on the network side preventing this journal from being recognized and accepted?

I’d like to add some updated technical information to this thread, as I’m experiencing the same issue with the same journal (Teoria e Critica della Regolazione Sociale, ISSN 1970-5476, https://mimesisjournals.com/ojs/index.php/tcrs/).
After checking the scheduled task logs today (2026-05-21), I can see that the error has changed compared to what was previously reported. The plugin is no longer showing “The PKP PLN does not know about this journal yet” — instead, the log now reads:
[2026-05-21 10:02:25] [Notice] Getting service document.
[2026-05-21 10:02:27] [Notice] The PKP PN is not currently accepting deposits.
This confirms that our server can successfully reach the PKP PN and retrieve the service document — there is no connectivity issue on our end. However, the network is returning an “not currently accepting deposits” status, which seems to be a server-side flag.
I also tested the sd-iri endpoint manually and received a valid SWORD XML error response (“Missing On-Behalf-Of header”), which confirms the PKP PN service is online and reachable.
Could you please check whether the PKP PN is currently in a maintenance state or whether there is something preventing deposits from being accepted for this journal?
