Paypal warning - Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN) OJS 2.x

Hi all

can someone please help me with this, I am receiving a email warning from Paypal recently, I had a look at the forum but I haven’t found anything that could help me.

The email says:
Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). Instant Payment Notifications sent to the following URL(s) are failing:

https://journals.equinoxpub.com/index.php/POST/payment/plugin/Paypal/ipn

If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.

I also receive a notification email which is :

Open Journal Systems has encountered unusual activity relating to PayPal
payment support for the journal Postscripts: The Journal of Sacred Texts and
Contemporary Worlds. This activity may need further investigation or manual
intervention.
This email was generated by Open Journal Systems’ PayPal plugin.

Can someone have an idea in what is going on please?

It seems like Paypal is not sending a response back for certain request, I believe this is connect with the fact that some issue as taxes on it and other issues have not.
The tax may has to configure in Paypal API??

Thanks a lot

Marcello

Hi @marcello8080,

I don’t believe this is an OJS issue. I would try Googling the error message or contacting your hosting provider.
