While the documentation for what the plugin does and how to set it up (ORCID Plugin Guide) is wonderful and much appreciated, it would also be helpful to include documentation on the steps that OJS admins can take to test the plugin before going live. The existing documentation tells people that “ublishers should first test the plugin in the sandbox environment” but there is no description of HOW to do this testing. This has been a major point of confusion. I am working with many people who set up the configuration, but then don’t know the steps they need to take to test the functionality.
