One single Layout Editor for a multi-journal site?

Hi,
I run a multisite OJS 3.1.1-4. I have some 10 journals ready to run there.
This is a univeristy and the Layout Editing process will be dealt with by one single department/user within the Institution.
Can I create a central or super Layout Editor user which will effect on all the journals (as the site administrator does)?
Or do I need to register it and enroll it in every journal?

Hi @jascanio,

All the journals on one OJS share the same users/accounts, but the roles are different from journal to journal. In your case, you have to:

  • create one user
  • assign this user as a Layout Editor to each of journals you want to

How do I create a user? I don’t see a way to create a user in OJS 3.1.1-4 other than registering his/her from the frontend as a reader or reviewer to those journals are already published.
Is there a way by which the Site Admin can create a user independent from a journal?

OK, create a user is register a user :slight_smile: A user has to be created/registered in the scope of one journal. After that you have to edit this user in each each journal and add him selected roles.
