Describe the issue or problem
The “Spotlights” feature is missing in OMP 3.5.
In the backend under “Catalog”, there is only the entry “All Monographs”, but no entry for spotlights/highlighted monographs.
Steps I took leading up to the issue
Log into the OMP backend as Press Manager.
- Go to “Catalog”.
- Expected: An entry “Spotlights” as in previous versions.
- Actual: The entry is no longer present.
What application are you using?
OMP 3.5.0.2
Additional information
- I upgraded from OMP 3.3.0-13 to OMP 3.5.0-2.
- The same behavior appears in the official PKP OMP Testdrive (spotlights missing).
- The 3.5 database contains no table named “spotlights”, but it does contain a table named “highlights”.
- The OMP 3.5 documentation still contains a chapter “Manage Spotlights”, so the feature appears to still be documented.
Has the spotlights feature been intentionally removed is this a bug?
Additional note:
I also noticed that the “Browse Block” no longer appears under
“Website Settings > Appearance > Setup > Sidebar” and cannot be activated anymore.
This is also the case in the PKP OMP Testdrive installation.
