OMP 3.4.0.1 monograph loading

Hi there

We want to publish a huge monograph with 200 chapters. The problem now is that the loading of the monograph_full template endures 15 seconds. It seems to be a server issue which takes so long. The caching possibilities in the configuration don’t lead to more speed unfortunately. Are there some other caching possibilities? Is someone expirienced with it? Thanks.

(Yes I know OMP is not really built for a 200 chapters book)

I see there will be opcache available in V 3.5.

Hi @trace,

If it’s possible, I’d suggest testing with the current stable-3_5_0 branch of OJS from github to see whether the issue still applies. We’ll be releasing OJS 3.5.0 shortly, and have put some effort into rewriting the storage layer from older DAO patterns to Eloquent; I suspect you’ll be running into something related, but would need to test further before I was able to identify the exact problem. Confirming whether it applies to 3.5.0 would be a good start.
