[OJS3.1.2.1] Native XML import plugin: issue import with `href`?

Hello together!

We are importing archive issues via XML import of native XML plugin.
As far as I can see, there is no change, to import the issue_file with href – or am I missing something? The plugin gives me an error and native.xsd I can only find <element name="embed" type="pkp:embed" />, whereas in submission_file allows embed or href for fetching the file from a URL.

So it seems, that I have to integrate the issue_file PDF as base64 with embed. Why is this so? Why isn’t issue_file allowed to be <group ref="pkp:fileContents" /> (= embed or href) either?

Hi @twa,

OJS 3.1.2 is pretty old by now – rather than debugging it further, is it an option to upgrade to the latest release?

Hej @asmecher,

yes, it is, and we’re currently planning to upgrade this installation. Is href for issue PDFs possible with native imp/exp plugin in 3.3?
