One of our authors is trying to submit a paper, however when they enter the orcid id they get an error message ‘orcid id you specified is invalid’
please advise if there is a certain way that the ocid id must appear.
Hi @nazli the author shouldn’t be inputting their ORCID ID directly, they should be authorization a connection to their ORCID ID profile via their email address.
It’s been a couple years but, if I recall correctly, the only time I saw an error message like the one you’re describing, the plugin was trying to use an ORCID ID from the ORCID sandbox server rather than a live ORCID ID. You should double-check the plugin settings to ensure that you’re using the the correct endpoint for the ORCID service.
