Hi everybody.

I wanna get doi on ojs plugin. However my plugin settings is ok, but i get 401 unauthorized error. I have a username and password on sponsor account but it gives error. Any solutions?

By the way i tried to get doi manually but icant get xml so i cant upload xml file on https://doi.crossref.org/servlet/home page. How can i get doi?

Hi @theapeiron,

The 401 error almost always indicates inaccurate username/password - please double check that you have the correct credentials?

Hi @theapeiron ,

When I’ve seen this error, it’s because the editor changed the journal’s name, either by adding a word or an acronym, so validation couldn’t be completed. Check to see if this applies to you.

I will check. But i see on document the username like email/role. I have only username and pass i havent any email.

  1. Verify Username Format: The most common cause is an incorrect username format. Your Crossref username must be in the format email@domain.tld/role (e.g., mazen@organisation.com``/role). Simply using your email address or a generic username will likely result in a 401 error. The specific “role” part is provided by Crossref with your membership confirmation.
