OJS Auto Generated Submission ID number

Hello,

Is it possible to edit the ID number automatically generated and assigned by OJS to item submissions?

I doubt it, but thought I’d ask. One of our journals is using OJS to manage the second stage of peer review and publication and has assigned items a unique id which they would like to persist in OJS .

Hi @rcoughlan,

Not currently within the editorial workflow. Once the item is published, it’s possible to use a custom identifier that appears in place of the internal identifier in URLs.

Please I would love to know how to configure our OJS 3 website such that the system Automatically assign a Manuscript ID to every manuscript submitted by an Author when sending Auto acknowledgement to the Submitter.
