I am a novice user of OJS (we are working with OJS 3). I have managed a submission through the workflow to the production stage. In the documentation, it indicates that from the production stage the submission can be scheduled for publication, as described here:
https://pkp.gitbooks.io/ojs3/content/en/production.html
However, the “Schedule for Publication” button is not visible on my screen, even though I am a section editor and journal editor. Perhaps I am missing a step, but I have been struggling with this all week, and I just cannot understand why the option to schedule is not displaying.
I would appreciate any feedback on what I might have done wrong.
Hi @bcameron,
Sorry for the delay in responding – I’ve passed this over to @stranack, who handles a lot of our documentation work, but he’s on vacation at the moment so won’t be able to respond for a little while.
Can you include a screenshot of your production area? (Feel free to obscure anything you don’t want to expose publicly.)

Hi @bcameron,
Hmm, that button was added as part of Add a "Schedule for Publication" button · Issue #1410 · pkp/pkp-lib · GitHub in July, and should be included in OJS 3.0; is there a chance you’re using a pre-release version of the software?

It seems that are on a pre-release. We are going to upgrade. Thanks for your help.
