[OJS 3.1] Payments tab keep on loading infinitely and Cant buy PDF (Page isn't working error)

The payments Tab keeps on loading infinitely

and in case you want to buy anything (Pdf for example), it shows page isn’t working

Check your PHP error log for details on both.

Is this an upgrade from an OJS 2.x install that previously contained payments?

That looks like your browser console, not your PHP error log. Can you check your PHP error log?

I donot have the php log. I have requested the server guys, but they didnt give. They said that you will be able to see the errors on top of the website, however, I cdnt see it.

Any ideas? I am not able to buy also any articles. There is just no option. The page doesnt load after we click on PDF

Hi @varshilmehta,

I’m afraid you’ll need to get access to your PHP error log. It’s extremely unusual for a host to deny access to this, and it’ll be very hard to debug OJS without it.

Could you please give a pointer to how you solved the problem? I am getting this error from the system, trying to “buy” an article, and registering a new user at the same time:

And a 500 on the frontpage.

I was not able to solve the buying error. I meant here was that my payment
tab wasnt loading, but i upgraded once more and it started working. In my
journal, once you click the pdf, it would show 500 error dorectly.

Hi @Jos_38,

This appears to be the same issue as Guzzle Interface 'Symfony\Component\EventDispatcher\EventSubscriberInterface' not found · Issue #61 · guzzle/guzzle3 · GitHub. Could you try adding the suggested dependency to plugins/paymethod/paypal/composer.json then running composer install in plugins/paymethod/paypal to install the dependency?

Yes that took care of the 500 issue

I got this output that may be, or maybe not, a concern?

Package guzzle/guzzle is abandoned, you should avoid using it. Use guzzlehttp/guzzle instead.

And when I try to create a payment via PayPal I get an error:
A transaction error occurred. Please contact the journal manager for details.

And that is I who are JM So I did that already.

Hi @Jos_38,

Thanks for confirming – I’ve added the dependency at Paypal plugin has undeclared dependency · Issue #2996 · pkp/pkp-lib · GitHub.

The issue you’re seeing now is probably a “cannot authenticate” type message. Make sure your PayPal plugin’s settings are accurate.

I am a beginner of centos. Can you check if my server has a running environment for the PayPal plugin?

I am also not a developer. Please ask the concern people in the group. I have no idea about all of these. Even my paypal plugin isnt working.
