OJS 3.1.2 block plugin errors "Smarty: Unknown resource type"

Any guideline or documentation on upgrading plugins that work fine in 3.1.1-4 to become 3.1.2 compatible?

Several old block plugins return: “Uncaught → Smarty: Unknown resource type 'plugins-plugins-blocks-”. Have fixed some obsolete Smarty 2 features (such as {php} and ‘assign_by_ref’), but clearly missing something else.

Hi Jannie,

Is this a plugin that has a 3.1.2 version? or are you upgrading your own plugins? Are your templates now in a templates sub directory? I believe that is a requirement now.

Thanks Jason, these are own plugins, the missing templates directory was indeed the problem.
