OJS 3.1.2.1 Recall an Email Notification

Is it possible to recall an email notification sent out by OJS? I have a journal that accidentally published a journal and now wants to recall the automatic notification that OJS sent out.

Is there any OJS functionality for this or will I need to investigate with my smtp_server host?

Email standards do not support a “recall” function, other than sending a followup email to ask the user to disregard the first.
