No update button for plugins

I’m trying to update ORCID plugin but there is no “update” button below this item at Plugins’ List (image attached), only “settings” one. Obviously, the settings menu does not include the update option.

I’m logged as “journal manager” role.

Thank you,

Which version of OJS are you using?
In OJS 3.3.0.8 it is as follows:

Thank you, Kerim, for your answer.

OJS version is 3.1.2.4

I have the same information in the list of plugins that you show, minus the “update” button:

Captura de pantalla 2022-02-14 a las 11.21.42

The only clickable item is the Github page, where they indicate:

Captura de pantalla 2022-02-14 a las 11.25.46

Are you sure, you have a “journal manager” role?

Hi Kerim, I have the top level role at the list. The Spanish version of OJS says “journal manager”. This is not admin.

I added a new user.
I gave the user journal manager role.
As you said, the user cannot update any plugins.
Also, new user (Journal Manager) cannot see the Administration menu on the panel.

I wonder if this is a bug @asmecher
Or is there something we don’t know?

Thank you @kerimsarigul . This is exactly what i’m wondering, who has admin role if “journal manager” doesn’t @asmecher ?

Hi all,

The Administrator is the person who first installed OJS. When you create a new journal they’ll also be enrolled as Journal Manager. If you want to promote other users to being an Administrator, you’ll have to do that manually in the database.
