No Alt text for journal thumbnail in bootstrap 3 child theme

Hello

I’m unable to see the alt text I’ve entered in the Appearance tab, in the journal thumbnail section at the bottom.
When I go to the site index page, the images show, but no alt attributes are added to the img tags.

Have others ran into this before?

Looks like $journal->getLocalizedSetting('journalThumbnailAltText') might not be working
