In the setup-startup tutorial (https://docs.pkp.sfu.ca/learning-ojs/en/settings-website#appearance) It describes how on the website/Settings/Theme page one can choose from a drop-down list of basic themes.
But on my system There is no such list, only the Default theme.
I did then see that under plugins there is a Bootstrap theme plugin, so I added (and enabled that), but still no other theme options are shown.
??
Hi @guthrie,
With 3.4.0-5 being a newer version, it’s possible that many of the themes have not been tested to ensure they’re compatibility with 3.4.0-5, hence them not showing up in the plugin gallery. You may be able to upload a theme manually to the plugin gallery - but that might produce some errors, so must be done with caution.

Thank you, I will wait!
Hi @guthrie, have you installed the plugins from the plugin gallery first? Other themes (e.g. Health Sciences, Immersion, Classic, and Pragma) should be compatible with your OJS version, but they need to installed from the plugin gallery and then enabled before they will appear in the list of theme options.
Thank you. I had only added one plugin for themes, Bootstrap 3 Base Theme, the other few you mentioned did not sound useful to me.
The online tutorial showed many more, perhaps just not yet ported to this version.
