Hello,
Need to know if I make an upgrade of mysql from 5.6 to 5.7 it could crash the OMP 3.3.0.10.

Also use OJS 2.4.8.4. in the same server, and I concern about the same issue.

Some one can help me with these please

Upgrading MySQL from version 5.6 to 5.7 should not directly crash OMP (Open Monograph Press) version 3.3.0.10 or OJS (Open Journal Systems) version 2.4.8.4. However, it’s important to keep in mind that upgrading any software, including databases, can introduce compatibility issues or require additional configuration.

Before proceeding with the upgrade, it is advisable to follow these steps:

  • Backup your MySQL databases
  • Test the upgrade in a non-production environment

Additionally,

  • you can use multiple PHP versions on the same server. If you have the MultiPHP Manager component on your server, it enables you to do this. For OMP 3.3.0.10, it is recommended to use at least PHP 7.4.
  • I recommend that you update your OJS 2.4.8.4 version to the latest version as soon as possible. Updating to the latest version can provide you with bug fixes, security enhancements, and improved compatibility with newer software versions.

Thanks a lot Kerimsarigul, it is very important information to me.
