More and still on Validation errors: Element 'issues': No matching global declaration available for the validation root

Hello, I am trying to import a batch of articles into a 3.1 OJS but I have encountered this error:

Validation errors:

  • Element ‘issues’: No matching global declaration available for the validation root.

My file appears to be matching the dtd, but I am sure the error is connected to the issue naming. Can anyone help?
Thanks
Lucia

Hi @lsteele

What is the root element in your import XML document?
How did you check that your document matches the DTD?

Best,
Bozana

Hi @lsteele,

Are you trying to export on OJS2 and import in OJS3 - that is not supported.

Best regards, Primož

Hello Bozana,
my team found that the dtd they used was for OJS 2, therefore not compatible. Since, they created an xml using dtd for OJS 3 and it has imported a test article.
I still have some queries, which I have turned to them, regarding importing all metadata (discipline, keywords, accept date/publish date, author affiliation, etc.). Can I get back to you if they still have problems with these?
I have appreciated your reply and this feature is very important for a good use of OJS.
Thanks again,
Lucia

Hi, Primoz,
yes we found out… I must admit I could not find the appropriate dtd…
Thanks for your reply,
Lucia

Hi @lsteele, yes, please do not hesitate to ask… :+1:
