Hello everyone, I just installed OJS 3.4 to publish my academic medical journal. Previous issues of my journal were published as PDFs on Wordpress. Can I migrate my back issue PDFs to OJS and make them OJS back issues?
Some folks here on the forum have discussed integrations between WordPress and, OJS, so you might find some clues buried in other threads, like these: Wordpress XML import or by searching on the forum.
I wasn’t able to access your site through the link provided - it just gave a blank page, so I couldn’t see how much content you have. If you only have a little bit of content, you may want to consider, the quick submit method. However, if you have a larger amount of content, you may want to consider the XML import - there is, however, a learning curve associated with that.
Thanks - the https://annalqudsmed.com/ link doesn’t work for me (just gives blank page - tried in several different browsers. I was able to access your Wordpress site, though, and can see the content that your journal has. I your case, given that you have a modest amount of content, you may want to try the QuickSubmit. It may take a bit of time, but will be mroe straightforward than the XML method.
For some reason http:// works , but https:// gives a blank page. I am trying to sort this as it seems an issue with SSL certificate. Please mak sure yo use http://www.annalqudsmed.com and not https:// or omit www.
Thanks for the suggestion about migrating PDFs. I tried to install the Quicksubmit Plugin from the Plugin gallery but for some reason OJS is failing to copy the Plugin to the destination folder. I am also working on this.
